Since a few day's I'm having a big fight with the VoiceEditor Midi Setup. The USB cable is connected and I can play midifiles from the laptop and can hear them via the T2. But the setup of the VoiceEditor shows for Midi in "None" and for Midi Out "None" or "Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth") No other choises here.

In the Sound or Audiodevices in the Control panel I can choose "YAMAHA USB OUT 0-1" or 2, so only the VoiceEditor is against me.

Can anyone spread some light in the dark?
I'm using a laptop with XP-home SP2.

Found the solution: I hacked the registry settings of the VoiceEditor midi-setup. After a restart it worked.

HI BERT,
I did the registry changes you sent me in the email but that did not solve the problem. I am still getting the Microsoft GS Wavetable Sw Synth and no other choices in the drop down menu.
I sent you and email letter of what I have in the Registry and hope you have some further solution to this ongoing problem.
Best to you and thanks for the help.
Waiting to hear from you again.

For others with the same issue:

Here are some print screens of my registry setup:

After a restart things worked on my laptop. But first read the whole message…

The USB-Midi driver in the control panel should show:

In the Device manager you should see:

And the driver has these details:

But if the whole T2 isn’t seen by the computer the best thing to do is to throw away the driver, remove the USB cable, restart the machine, insert the USB cable again and point the driver installation to the CD-ROM.
