OK .......

If you download a style and it does not have a instru./ snd. file attached , your not getting the entire style . You may be happy with what you got , but again , your not hearing the entire style .

This part was added , after reading Glen's question .

Just call up one of the styles that came with your SD1 . Such as Dance 01 or Popdown 01 . You have to wait for something to load before you can accually play them . Try copying those styles to a floppy disk and see how many can fit onto 1.44mgs .

With your purchase of the SD1 , there are complimentary styles on the hard drive .
They consist of dance01 ,02 etc ,popdown styles and a few others .

What happens when you call up and play one of the styles ?

You have to wait for instruments to load
to make the style complete . The instruments are the .snd files .

If you have not listened to the popdown and dance styles , they are very , very good !

I hope this helps to clear up my point .

Dano

Yes, but in the SD1 OS V4.0, there is the new live drum of the XD9 and SD1+ inside. SO, you have not to load this SND files.
I think DANCE.SND and POPDOWN.SND are also included in this OS. So, even when there aer not in the HD, you will able to load the styles (I not tested what i say )
