When I play back my midi sequence for recording, my Q-80 is triggering different drum sounds than the ones I sent to it. Very frustrating. Can anyone out there shed some light? I'm new to the midi scene.

It sounds like you are not setting up the correct drum kit when the sequence begins. Well that would be the most likely cause of your problem. You would need to insert a program change to select the correct kit at the start of your MIDI sequence.

Do I insert program changes in the sequencer itself or from the drum machine (Boss DR-670)? Also, this thing about midi notes is confusing. Do I assign them or are they preset? Is there a standard or something?
