How can I play a waveform given by an ordinary ASCII file? Indeed, if I have a program which provides an analog waveform (i.e. a function which depends on time), that must be somehow converted to the digital form into an appropriate sound format (wav or other). Is there a free software which can do it?

Hi,

Well if the program itself cannot render the signal to audio there's no other way than to record it. Go to the windows mixer and select "what you hear" (or something similar) for recording. Than open an ap with which you can record like a wave editor and begin the recording. In the other program now start the signal. It will be recorded.

Hope that helps,
