Hello,
I am starting this new acid-jazz project and would like to buy a groovebox that would complement the drums. We have drummer, singer, bass and keys. We'll be focusing on soulfull jazzy tunes, something similar to tunes played by Brand New Heavies, Incognito and Jamiroquai.

I am new to grooveboxes and would appreciate if someone can share their suggestion with me. My understanding is that KORG ESX-1, EMX-1 and Roland MC-808 are pretty good ones but is that the right choice for the type of music I'll be playing?
