I was clicking around the internet tonight actually looking for some good jazz trio midi files and came across this site. Among other things he has some free soundfonts leaning towards the jazz side.

I don't know how to use them yet as soundfonts, but he has some mp3 demos, some of which were rather outstanding I thought.

The ones that stood out for me were the Jazz Guitar, Trombone, Bass, Contrabass, and Nylon Guitar.

Since I have not really had a chance to check out soundfonts, how do these fit into the world of free and commercial ones?

A great source for jazz fonts. I downloaded the featured ones. By comparison, they are much better than wavetable. I will compare with SGM180 later.
