I just discovered another aspect that convinces me this OS is so stable...
I accidentally left the screen setting at 1680x1050 (my external screen res) when I turned off last night.
I booted the MS this morning, and apart from all the screens being smaller, the MS and Kubuntu system had NO issues at all

In the old days it would have crashed the xorg server. All I did was reset back to 800x600 , re-booted back to normal.
So I guess IF you can work with the even smaller windows with a higher res, it does not cause any de-stabilisation, so if we forget ( as I do often

) to change things back to standard, no problems.
Bravo Dom and Lions Tracs....Great work.
