I just got a Red Groove X7 from Frank here is the USA. It should arrive here next Wednesday. Is there any advise as to how to quickly get up to speed with this Open System keyboard? I'm prepared to do my homework.

First i'd have to sayt congratulations with your new Instrument.

Before receiving your mediastation i'd invest some time to read up on things like VST's and download the manuals from the lionstracs website.

If I bought one from frank and he shipped it would I gain with the dollar to pouns exchange rate. In other words what is frank selling them for in dollars, if you don't feel like saying thats OK, but I do hope you enjoy it, and it perform as good as it looks.

Regards

Well feel free to ask any questions you like here for starters. There's not really much though you can be doing until you get the keyboard.

What Bachus has already said is about all you can be doing I guess.

Regards
James

Hi Tony.
Anything you buy from America will be subject to import duty.

Why don't you just buy direct from Lionstracs? There's no duty on anything purchased from within the EU as you know.

James

Why don't you ask Frank himself, I know he'll give you the same fair price for sure.

you don't want to do that.....you'd have to pay between 15 and 30 per cent of the whole price just for import duties. Also the shipping would be much higher than shipping from Liontracs directly, because shipping within Europe is a lot cheaper than shipping from outside Europe to Europe

I live in Norway, also in Europe but not a EU membership country. Even so, we
have some agreements that put a lot of the EU rules and laws down our heads.

Electronic music istruments are duty free to imoprt here, but instead we have
to pay 25% VAT on top of both the price we pay for the keyboard and all shipping
cost when package pass the border.
But, the price I pay to the store, shall be without added local VAT or taxes.

Since the electronic music instruments have special rules here, maybe it's like
that in other countries around the world as well?

Cheers
