Could it be possible to implement something like the ableton live session view intoo Q-ranger...

Think about what ableton live can do in combination with the Groove or mediastation while playing modern dance/house music.

Either it would be awesome if Q-ranger would have something like abletons session view and the buttons on the Groove could function like the Akai APC40

Even things like shown in this post :

would be possible with ableton live, i.e. live recording the loopes... and adding more and more to the performace while in the end playing solos on top of that...

Things like this would extend lionstracs reach even further, tough for now certain people would be happy if i could just use ableton live running on MS/Groove in combination with a controller like the akai APC40......

So Bachus, WHEN are you buying one? An MS/Groove that is.

You seem to ask lots and lots of questions???
And we give lots and lots of answers, but no purchase yet?

Since i don't make money with music i have to be carefull where and when to spend my savings.

Currently i am in the process of building a new house. Which will be finished late summer. By then i know if there are any savings left to buy a Lionstracs instrument, otherways it will have to wayt till next year.

Buying things is a matter of priorrities and despite the fact that i would die for a Groove, i can't risk buying it and running out of money for my new house. Or even the new furniture my wife wishes.

But having a decent financial position, thing must turn really strange if there won't be any money left for me to spend by the end of the year.

-----------------

Nevertheless i have allways been a huge supporter of Lionstracs and the Linux prioject in general, and i really hope that Lionstracs pulls it off and brings back innovation to the keyboard buiseness.

Cool! And totally understandable

Righto then, keep firing away with the questions

By the time you do get one, you will have NO problems at all making the switch..Hopefully you can get one sooner rather than later.

Of course mine is always for sale I would LOVE to buy either a Groove 7, or the new MS mkII Because that is EXACTLY what I would buy if I sold mine.

Tony, Domenico carries all the spares. You can even still get a replacement keybed for my MS .

He carries a range of the Lionstracs proprietary PC boards as well, and the rest is really just PC hardware you can get anywhere.

He EVEN has the music stand as a spare part as well

I bought mine direct, but it would make no difference if you bought from one of Domenico's dealers either. You wills till get the exact same brilliant assistance regardless.

As for the X7 now or the new MK II, I cannot really answer that as I have no idea of any of the details of the MK II...

What I DO know is that if I had not been able to buy my MS back from the guy I sold it to. I would be an owner of the Groove X7 now!!

It would have broken the bank a bit, but it would have been well worth it. As it is if the MK II looks good, I may even STILL sell mine again (or trade-in ) to get the MK II OR the X7.

My "HUNCH" is that the MK II will be more a "players" setup, similar to the MS, whilst the Grooves are not only are players boards, but work equally as well from a DJ point of view.

I am still interested on everyone's view towards Ableton lives session view and possible implementation in Q-ranger..

I think it might create some very innovative possibilites. It might make Liosntracs systems the ultimate Deejay/dance musicians tools...

Dom, whats your opinion on this?
