NovaMusik has the Kronos up, with special pre-order pricing:

61: $2999
73: $3499
88: $3799

I think it's now "official:" this will DESTROY the workstation market.

Holy sh&#! If those prices are accurate this new Kronos line will be a huge seller..., and knowing Korg I'm sure there will be some impressive updates in both OS and added features down the line too.

Donn,
Same O Same O....The WS's are always cheaper than the high end arrangers (except OASYS).
I think it's volume, content cost and more than anything ..we suckers will pay it! And they know it.
But in perspective..the last Yamaha Organ I bought was $12,500. And that was 1990.

Look how much more a T4 is than a Motif.

Wov.. I hope those prices translate to other markets as well... of the Kronos 88 is $3799 here when it's released, I will be first in line to get one! That is one mother*"#¤" of a keyboard! It's like having 9 great plugins - in hardware form.

I remember some years ago - you would see a Triton in almost every studio. Then when the Motif ES came out that changed. The OASYS was supposed to put them back in the lead, but it was extremely expensive compared to what you got, so it never caught on. I think Korg just got back in front of the race.

Kudos to Korg! That PA3X sure looks and sounds nice to, even though the current demos are recorded with a small handheld camera, you can hear a lot of new stuff in the sounds. Such as legato sensing, layer switching, layer triggering and so on.
