Apparently Roland no longer makes the FC-7 foot switch! Does anyone know if Roland makes something that would take the place of the FC-7. Can't find any info???

I think the FC-7 would work well with the new module (BK-7m)

Thanks
Don P

Even though Roland might not make the FC7 any longer you can still purchase one if need be Don.

Roland FC7 foot controller at MusiciansBuy

I'm sure other places still have them on hand too. Although at $150 bucks you might consider finding something that will work that doesn't cost so much. wink

All the best,
Mike

That's hard to believe, as the new BK-7m has an FC-7 input...

I hope it's not true!

taz Yep, it has a connection marked FC-7 plus midi in out and video too. It's good that it has the USB memory plug with the computer connections.

But, why discontinue the foot pedals if your new technology can make use of it. Another brilliant idea from company that discontinues a great TOTLA!? frown

Thanks for the input Mike, unfortunately, I had called MusiciansBuy before posting and that item is discontinued! I was told the same at other outlets, B&H Photo, Sweetwater, ETC.

As diki says, "hard to believe" since the BK-7m is set up for it.

It is hard to believe, especially since the BK-7m is a natural companion for the Roland V accordion line, and who would need a foot switch more than an accordion player!?

I HAVE one, practically new. If I don't get a BK-7m it will be for sale because the E50 doesn't have a hole for it.
They ought go UP in value now, like Russ' guitars!
I'll trade it for a vintage Martin.

Rather than take a retailer's word for it (they tend to lie about stuff they don't have in stock!), have you tried contacting Roland directly and pointing out the BK-7m's need for them?

Good idea Diki, I'll check w/Roland.

DonM, don't have a vintage Martin, could probably come up with an old wore out accordion! If you sell, put my name on it.

Like DonM, I also have a like-new FC-7 left over from my G800 or G1000. I just forgot to pack it when I sold the G1000 and after that I always thought I'd pick up a G70 if a cheap one ever came along, but one never did. Now, I'm afraid I might 'impulse buy' a BK-7M and need it. True story, I was going to GIVE it to Fran at one point but he found or bought one before I could act. He probably won't believe that but I swear it's true.

If I change my mind about the module, someone can have it cheap ($1 more that whatever DonM sells his for - I don't want to undercut him).

Gosh! "Say it ain't so" Diki is right! Thanks for the tip.

According to RolandUS, the FC-7 is alive and well and available. Just had my local dealer order one. Wonder what's up with the online dealers, who say its been discontinued.
