Yes, there is a difference...and, I think the S910 sounds more like the Tyros2 than the Tyros3.

That said wink...the S910 has a slightly (very slightly) thinner sound, but not on all patches...some are equal, including the SA Sax and SA Concert Guitar. Some are are different, like the Live Grand Piano and the synth sounds.

As Diki said in an earlier post, sometimes a big fat sound is not what is wanted...perhaps that's why I like the S910 so much...and, also why I liked the Tyros2 over the Tyros3, the former being sweeter and less robust, but in a good way.

I didn't find the S910's outputs noisier than the Tyros2, but it could have been the way I set them up.

A lot of insight. This confirms what I had
Suspected. I have adjusted eq settings but
Still the T2 sounded better in the drum dpt.
I realise also that speakers make a diff.
My s900 is almost sold. I'm getting a s910.
I hope I like it

Yes Don,

Things appear to have settled down on the Audya, no more lock ups for me for about 6 months, I don't think they are selling in great numbers, cash is in short supply and still think they are overpriced.

Keep on playing Don.

Diki,
Many times I played Roland E50 and E80 side by side, and they do sound a little different using the same sounds. However, sometimes I found myself preferring the E50. It is set up better out of the box, with fewer editing options on the overall sound and parts. I'm convinced the E80 would have to sound better if set up exactly the same.
If the E80 were only half the weight . . . it would have saved me lots of money when I sold it! It is a killer keyboard though.
