Not equipment related, but I'm looking forward to seeing Rory at Summer NAMM, if he's in town.
This is the ONLY time I take off each year, and I really enjoy visiting with players I've met over the years. I was a demonstrator for Guild guitars years ago, and some of the old timers are still around.
Anyone who would be able to make it; just let me know. I can arrange for a few extra tickets.

BIG Question: Is it the demonstrator or the keyboard itself?
Part of the problems with the Pa3X demos heard so far is that they're only heard thru its add-on speakers. For a proper sounding demo, they need to be line out recorded directly from the keyboard itself. If I buy a Pa3X I'll pass on its unattractive looking (audience distracting) and unimpressive sounding add-on speakers. I suspect it's those speakers that is ruining the Pa3X's initial impression, at least to my eyes and ears.
As far as Martin Harris doing a Pa3X demo: I doubt he'd do it at any price as the Pa3X is direct competition to the Tyros 4, of which Martin Harris & his team both designed and produced from the ground up.

Russ, I don't know my schedule yet, but if I'm not working I'll be there. I even have a place to stay, I think. My ex sister-in-law stills likes me. She knows it wasn't my fault. Anyway she lives there. DonM
My wish for summer NAMM would be for us to largely ignore it! I must confess, I'm getting a bit tired of listening to us endlessly debate the NEXT arranger, as if we hadn't already got one. Whatever happened to making music with what you HAVE?
If the world went without NAMM and Musikmesse for a year, do you think it would stop spinning? Sometimes, I get that impression here!

Diki, if we were to connect for a visit and a good dinner, the trip would be worth it. Seeing guys like Tony Monaco demo ANYTHING is also worth it. Victor Wooten is also a blast to visit with.
Frankly, that's what I go for.
It would be great to meet you there or any other convenient location sometime.
I've been to a few, Russ, and yes, they are a blast to go to, but I was more commenting about how they seem to dominate discussion here rather than MUSIC. Sometimes I think I've accidentally surfed into a Dungeons and Dragons geek-fest than a forum of 'musicians'!
We are supposed to be hipper than this, aren't we?!
(You know I'm not referring to you, and if I got the opportunity, I'd like to hang with you, but you are right... I'd rather listen to a decent guitarist play than some excruciating arranger demo any day!)
