Anyone know... insert batteries... then what? I can't find anything in the manual on how to select using the batteries. Either I am missing something, all of my batteries are dead, or the unit is malfunctioning. Needed battery power on gig last night.

You shoulda called me, I had an extra pa IN THE CAR. Oh wait, now I remember, you DID call me, but I didn't hear it because the music was too loud. My fault because I was playing the music.
I did return the call, but I suppose it was too late by 11:30.

I had no cell service inside the bar and by time I got your voicemail, it was 1am and I didn't want to call you then. I was going to ask you to google the manual if you were not on a gig. But I googled the manual and still can't find any mention of what to do beyond inserting batteries.

I finally scrapped the battery-powered idea (could not find my power supply!) and used the Podium speakers and Edirol mixer. Worked fine.

I would check the batteries.

Glad you took a backup. 1 a.m. is late for bankers, not musicians!

Bill with my Edirol mixer ..cheap batteries do not work,,only alkaline and nickle...I use my BA330 all the time with rechargeable nickle batteries..

There is a detent switch built into the AC adapter jack that could be the culprit. The way it appears to work is in order for the batteries to power the system the AC adapter plug must be pulled out. When you push the plug in you must push it in until it clicks, which turns off the batteries.

The only other thing I can think of is that you may have had a single battery of the 8 it takes to power the unit, in backwards.
