Is there anyone out there within 100 miles of Chicago that has an SD1 with 4.0 or greater upgrade? I'd like to hear the difference between my 3b version sounds and your 4.0 or version. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I had the SD1 and I did installed the 4.0, and I would do it ALL over again and again....the sounds became more clear even they sound incredible like it is, but it is an improvement, besides the direct access to the styles from the hard disk.....just follow the instructions STEP by STEP and have ready the 12-13 blank flopy disks.

Was yours sd1 regular or plus version, I still have not upgrade mine which is regular SD1 I bought when they first came out, do you think mine is upgradeable as well? btw, I took your advise about Yamaha EMX12, it works out good, thanks!
