So excited. After several months of deliberation, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered T4 from Sweetwater today. Since I live in the same state as they, it should be here tomorrow. I demoed the unit there last year but decided to wait until I heard the Korg Pa3x.
I had T2 for 3 years and really enjoyed it but to be perfectly honest just got bored of the sounds and styles of it. T4 takes it to the next level, I will have new styles to play and I am sure I can spend countless hours with it until T6 comes around in 3-4 years
You will Love the T4. I went from the T2 (by way of the Pa2xpro and Audya) to the T4, and I'm loving it! Will you be able to sleep tonight?
btw...I'm sure our own Frank Ventresca could have given you a MUCH better price than Sweetwater with probably as good service to boot! Oh well, for future reference.

Bart, Congrats...after our demo time last year at Sweetwater that day...I was impressed, but I am going to wait until I hear the PA3X before pulling any triggers.

Barty, congratulations in advance. I too upgraded from Tyros 2 to Tyros 4, Though I've owned my T4 for a few months now, I continue to enjoy playing it more than ever. Looking forward to your feedback after you receive yours.
Thank you everyone. On the topic of price, I received a good deal from Sweetwater. They allowed me to come over and demo the board for few hours and they have been very good to me so I wanted to give them my business.
So far so good. T4 arrived this PM. Got it all set-up but I am on kids-watching-duty this evening so I did not play with it much. I really like some of the style though, especially the funk and dance ones. The SuperArticulation2 is unbelievable. This board is much more capable than I am so this upgrade will last me for a LONG, LONG time.

Hello Barty, I wish you a lot of fun with the Tyros 4. It's such a great instrument. So it must give you at least years of fun (or at least until Yamaha will release a new model again?? )
PS: Don't forget to upgrade the firmware of the Tyros 4. It'll probabely supplied with the 1.00 version release, that contains a nasty bug with the style volume section. The new version will also tune up the audio quality (as there were complaints about lack of bass frequency output). You can go to my website to download the new firmware and installation instructions:
