Based on everything I looked at, this is what I felt the best about. Its lighter than I thought, and is more stable than my old padded Tyros case. Which makes for more stable transport. Generous padding inside.
Being able to actually see how my Tyros would fit into it played a big part in my choosing this one. I wasn't comfortable playing around with measurements and a "you order it, you're stuck with it" policy.
It lists at $449.00, I got it for $229.00 at GC...

Good Choice Bill, It should last 'forever'. The wheels are a neat feature that at times will be helpful. Lots of padding is important as well. Good price too!

Bill ... too bad I didn't know ... I got mine from this outfit a couple of years ago ... they make all sizes ... great case, great price ... I didn't get the wheels though ...
Congratulations! I just started using the version without wheels for my PSR-S910. I like to keep a tupperware container inside my keyboard bag. I keep a headset mic, mic cable, and the kb's a/c adapter in it. I also add some added foam. The Roadrunner is perfect.
This is ideal for people like Scott Langhoff who was using the Kaces KB9. They changed the specs on that case, and it no longer will hold a Tyros.
Good luck with the gig bag. May it keep your Tyros scratchless.
One thing I see little of here is a bit of complaining to Yamaha (and to each other) about why Yamaha chose to make the Tyros series in such an unusual size for a 61. As Yamaha don't make custom cases for them (AFAIK), it seems a PITA to have to use a 76 case just to fit them...
IMO, if you HAVE to haul a 76 case, might as well play a 76!
But, be that as it may, I'm sure if enough of you started to complain about the form factor, Yamaha MIGHT be able to shrink it to something that fits most regular 61 cases...
