I mentioned this problem in another thread. It turned out to be a loose solder.

It was fixed for $59. I'm seeking to get reimbursed as per the extended warranty protection on my credit card.

Good news exactly what Gary D said.. smile another tip have all your mic cables custom made with right angle plugs this will alleviate tension in the mic input canal.
