I have been following the IPad threads with great interest. I,like some of you, wanted a tablet to display lyrics but smaller and lighter than a MPP or laptop.
I found the answer for me in a $139 Kindle Wi-Fi. I was conscerned that a six inch wouldn't show up large enough for these old eyes. No sweat.
I tried transferring my PDF's via USB to the Kindle. It works fine but it maintains the original PDF format. This means I had to switch to landscape mode, increase the font by 150%, and press the page button, to see it from three feet away.
Then I read that one has many more choices in text(txt) format. Now I can return to portrait mode and increase the font to any size I want. The big other difference is that the Kindle has word wrap. That means Kindle will readjust the text and keep it centered no matter what size you choose. Naturally, the bigger the font the more page turns there are, but that is a very quick and easy matter.
I am not bad mouthing the IPad, but needed something simple, cheap, and reliable. I have other computers to browse with.
