I have ordered the PC cable and downloaded the backup software awhile ago. I connected my laptop to the X1, ran the software and got stuck. Can somebody give me a step-by-step instructions on how to do this? My labtop has windows98.

1.install ketron ft software to your laptop but besure select true com port and restart
2.connect your laptop with x1
3.go to x1 midi menu and select utility and set to COMPUTER PC
4.and run ketron ft software and push connect button.. you will see on x1 screen PC CONNECTED and than you can start to work with ketron ft..goodluck

Thanks for your help. I realized I downloaded the wrong software. Your instructions are very clear, but the KetronFT is way too big for the floppy disk, so I'll have to save it to a CD and install it onto my laptop later on. I'll let you know how it goes.
