I will soon be the owner of a ketron sd1 keyboard, and the software at this time is 4.0.a.

Can see that more updates is available now - which means both 4.0.b and 4.0.c

How do i get forward, go directly to 4.0c or first 4.0.b and afterwards 4.0.c.

maybe there are even other updates I have to make in the ketron before using it.

You can actually go to the latest software release and keep a previous releases sounds.
I think I used to have 4.0c in mine but the original SD1 sounds as I prefered them for some reason to the updated ones.
There's plenty of SD1 owners on SZ so someone will point you in the right direction. If you have the PC connection and software with the SD1 it's far easier to update and transfer things like new styles to the SD1's hard drive. It's quite cheap to buy and is a great time saver

Was there something about an AJ update - a special update for the SD1 that more was very glad to use.

connection to computer, are you reffering to data transfer from keyboard to pc ( ie transferring styles , midifiles etc for backup to pc), or are you wanting it for midi sequencing etc

I use 2 different cables. Also does your p.c have a serial port or only usb??

What I have in mind is to be able to transfer styles and software, as I have to update the keyboard with the plus software.

I have no idea about using a sequencer in the computer for the keyboard at all.

This is a USA site though, you'd have to probably find one in Europe?? Make sure that it's definately a Ketron cable as a normal serial/pc cable I think is wired differently. I couldn't get my regular serial cable to work. Someone gave me the Ketron one, nowworks perfectly.
Bear in mind it's a serial cable. Does your computer have a serial port??
Some new computers only have usb ports.

I'm not sure, but maybe updates can be done from floppy disk??
I haven't had to update my sd1+ as yet.
