Hi I’m new here. I have been on Technics Forum for 12 years. I am playing a Kn7000 and I thought a Pa800 would add the rest of the picture. I have questions, boy do I have questions.
The Kn7000 has registrations – “Panel memory”. Push one button and the keyboard is set to play a song with all that I need. Where is this same type of function on the Pa800 – and how do I search for a song? I am downloading a manual but it is always nice to get some help/ideas.

John,
"Panel memory" is called "Performance"
You can organize performances for quick recall and you have the option of having everything set up, or it can ignore the style change. This is helpful when you are playing a song and want the rhythm to continue and change the sounds alone while it's playing. It's simple to toggle back and forth between the two also.
You also have the songbook - this will set everything - smf/mp3/style/tones/tempo ... whatever you tell it to, and they are listed under several queries:
eg:
title, genre, style

I had a kn7000, and I think you'll love the extra ooomph that the Korg will give you ... especially in the vocal department.

Searching is a snap with the data wheel, or the touch screen ... you can drag a scroll bar with one finger and use the +/- buttons to move one increment at a time.

Hi John
I had a PA 800 and found it to be a very good dependable keyboard. Once you learn the OS, it's editing capabilities will be more than you'll need.

Congratulations

Bernie

I played my Pa800 for three hours today. It is fantastic.

Starting tomorrow I will be trying to learn what I need to know to play this beauty. Any help will be appreciated.
