Just got a pair of Podium 802s. I figured I could use one or two for small gigs and slave them in stereo off my keyboard amp for larger dates. When I unpacked them I had a "duh" moment. I didn't consider how I would move them. They have no handles and are too big for a travel suitcase. I'm thinking two gym type bags which could also handle the wires for each one. A lot of you guys have them and are very resourceful so any tips?
BTW one I bought came from the "yard sale" link on Onlyfactorydirect.com and it is a dog. It has paint on the ac cable, eye bolts on three sides which means someone took the speaker apart to bolt them on, and produces a lot of static. To OFD's credit I called immediately and was told it should not of been sent out in that condition. They are out of stock on the 802s but I could keep this one till they restock. May be as long as 6 weeks.
Preformance seems OK at first tryout but I'm again thinking about an all in one system like the Samson 301 or the comparable Yamaha Stagepas.
Anyone one have experience with either of these?
