i never thought i'd be that guy that said "my gear's too heavy!". im using a hammond xk-2, which is great. i love the tone, i love the overdrive on it. great grit, etc.

BUT. its heavy as all get-out. and i have a bunch of other gear to haul around (four boards, 4x12 bass cab, stands, mixer/amp, etc).

im looking for a good organ controller with waterfall keys. i know that studiologic just came out with exactly this, but its not out for purchase just yet and will be difficult to find used.

i looked at electros for awhile, and would still love to have one, but they're just too danged expensive (although after getting the controller and a decent module, it might be the same.)

anyway! ideas are appreciated.

You might try to find a roland VR 760.
I think they are out of production now, but you will have a light weighted board to replace a hammond, rhodes, wurly etc... all in one.

No need for an outboard soundunit and waterfall keys!

I use one since three/four years now and never looked back.
