This thing was introduced ~10 years ago. Was primitive enough and had/has many constraints (large printing time, low resolution, small dimensions etc). But it is absolutely fantastic as a concept.
A friend of mine uses one at work. Presses "Print" on the end of the workday, comes back next day morning, the prototype is there, waiting.
If I remember well, one or two of you are into restoring old cars... look what Jay Leno does in his garage with one of those beauties, along with its cousin, the 3D scanner.
