Tony congratulations by the look of your new e-mail address you've joined FiOS from Verizon. You're gonna love the high speed downloads 25mbps down and 20 up( at least that's what I subscribe to) and pristine picture quality on your TV. Yep, FiOS it is ... got the digital phone so I'll have to look into that Digital Voice thing Steve ...
Had COX digital/HD before but the FiOS pic seems better ...
One thing I don't understand is that they say there is a FiOS (fiber optic) line coming into the house, but then they use the same coax line I was using before to connect to the TVs ?!? ...
I guess I don't have to understand how it works, and long as it's better - AND less expensive ! ...

FIOS is all about delivery to your house and it's via fiber optics. But once to your connecting box it has to be converted to coax for TV and Internet connections within your house. You don't have fiber optics lines in your house or fiber optic connections on your TV and computer. In any case FIOS is excellent. You will love it and the service as well.

Tony, look at it this way...the signal is not compromised until it reaches your outside wall....compare this..compromised from the time it begins at Comcast or what ever other provider you use..
