Hi there - a few years ago, Jimmy Naill - a Geordie lad" sang a song called BIG RIVER - this being the Tyne River in the Newcastle, north of England area and the shipyards there.

I had this music at one time and I can no longer find it. Has anyone got a copy they could let me have - I love it!!! Joan

Hi Bob - How are you? Very nice to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well.

Yes I played for about an hour a couple of days ago on the PSR S910, and I really enjoyed it. Needless to say the fingers didn't flow over the keys so fluidly though when you haven't played for a while.

I bid for a set of 5 DVDs of sheet music on EBAY, and on them are some songs from the 30's and 40's during the war years "The Gypsy, "A shady nook by a babbling brook" etc., to name just a couple that I used to listen to on the radio and that I had danced to in my teens - I recognised the illustrations on them. That seems no longer than about 20 years ago! but nearer 60! - BUT still fresh in my mind!!!

These will give me some pleasure for some time to come. It is great to have some different music to play. Take care Bob - Joan

Joan, if you have a clean copy that you can scan, send it to me and I'll transpose to any key you want. Try to scan at 200 dpi. About any format will do (pdf tif png or jpg will all work OK). I can then scan it directly into my notation software and the software will transpose automatically. E Major is a hard key for me also.

BTW The Gypsy is also in my collection.

Bob - thank you very much for the transposing of Big River for me. This was one of my favourite songs when I used to Line Dance. I really appreciate this and will get lots and lots of pleasure out of playing it. Thank you again - Joan
