Hallo AJ,
Since 2 days I enjoy to play on my new sd5 that i bought in Germany.I've got the manuel too ,but there is nothing written about how to use the Riff .the fact is that the two Funk styles are programed with this riff and i have no idea how to delete it.I'll be thankful if You could explain it to me.
There is some other strange thing that happend when i came to get the keyboard.
i orderd it 2 month ago with an HD. But when come toget it ieas told that the HD's are not yet ready, and because of the holidays in Italy it can take maybe 6 weeks for delivery. I was flying 3000 KM for this sd5 and couldn't take it without an HD,so i had no choice but to accept that an IBM HD will be build in. It works now , but is it normal?
thanks

cheby30,

When you use the RIFF, during the first measure you have time (1st 4 bars of arranger D) to enter the CHORD/key that you want the Arranger to play in. After this, based on some chords within a table plus some chords you've just played, the SD5 will perform "intelligently" for you, automatically changing chords for you to play along with. You cannot DELETE the RIFF - to not activate the RIFF, do NOT use ARRANGER "D" for any style that has a RIFF (R - displayed on screen below style name).

Thanks,

AJ
