I sent a note to Yamaha about the pitch correction software deonstrated by Craig Knudsen on Youtube... Below is the answer

Hi Ron,

Regarding your TYROS4,
The software demonstrated in the video is a development by one of our consultants. It's not a modification of the Tyros4 operating system and it's not a beta version of a future Tyros4 operating system. We don't have any details other than that at this time.

Please note that the Tyros 4 does have onboard pitch correction as part of its Vocal Harmony 2 processor.

One of the first questions would be "does this consultant have development rights of his own, or does anything he develops belong to Yamaha?" ... If it belongs to Yamaha, you might see it sooner than later, depending on how they feel it might sell ...
If the software belongs to him, there could be negotiations involved ...

I don't care guys I sing in perfect tune, well at least in my ears I do, tell you what, I ain't going to do you a video just to prove it, so don't ask, you will be refused. You know if you need pitch correction you need to take it with you, just imagine been in a bar where someone asks you to get up and sing, and you say "Sorry no can do, I haven't got my pitch correction gizmo with me tonight " Hells what's it come to, if you can't sing, you can't sing, I can't fly, so I am going to jump off any high buildings just to prove it.

I started this...and I was with Craig in person. It was at Sweetwater Sound...and he was doing a Clavinova demo. He sent me the link to the demo.
I have e-mailed him about the details and he HAS NOT answered.

Not sure why, but I will bump him again.

I though someone on Yamaha PKO said it was a matter of settings and they were available?
