I was cleaning up, and came across an old SD Card, I believe from 2004. On this card was a bunch of files, including Technics, Sound and Audio files for the KN-7000.

I no longer have the KN-7000, and therefore cannot verify the contents, but I do know they are probably not for any Technics keyboard, other than the KN-7000.

I have uploaded the contents in a zipped folder here: http://www.4shared.com/file/5zAj4pAZ/KN-7_No_Audio_Files.html (It's a rather large download, and may take awhile)

Anyway, I'm curious as to what songs are included, and if the audio jukebox files play on your 7000.

I Hope someone finds these enjoyable, and can let us know...

Edit Reason: URL changed by Larry to a version without the audio files

They can't because won't be on the original download SD card.

Hi Alec,

I know you're an expert on this...

Why is that so that if take my KN7000 Sd Card and have it played on my Kn2600 everything works ok and all the audio(mp3s) will play but the other day I went to my friend's place and have it played on his Kn7000, every sequencer songs were there but all the audio was gone ?
Could'nt show him how I use the audio for live backup voices purposes.

That mean if I would buy another Kn7000 as a backup I would have to re-record all the audio on a new card ? Not very convenient...

Serge

Hi,
audio recorded on one 7k will play back on any 7k (or 2600).

You cannot just copy audio (eg using a pc) from the original sd card it was checked out to by Jukebox to another sd card, there is a copy protection system which uses the individual sd card identifier.

So why your card did not play is down to some other reason. Different firmwares? inability to fully recognise your sd card? fault on his 7k?

Thanks for refreshing my memory.

It's been awhile, so sorry I don't remember, but if you have the Panasonic Jukebox kit, could you download these audio files to an SD card and then check-in with Jukebox, then save back to another SD Card? Or is it, like I believe it is, exclusive to the original SD Card and Computer where the original conversion was made.

Panasonic, the maker of Jukebox knew how to lock down audio files so they could not be shared.

OK since the audio files are probably worthless, I created a seperate zipped folder without the audio files.

Still plenty of Technic and Audio files to explore. Again I don't know what the Technic files are as I no longer have the 7000.

KN-7 No Audio Files (A much smaller download without the audio files.)

check in is only allowed from the original check out sd card, otherwise there is no protection smile
