Would any of the sd1 & xd9 styles work on the x1. If there were copied to a floppy and installed on the x1.

I don't think so. Different drum kits... However it is possible that some of the styles of the SD1 and XD9 have been somehow converted (transformed) to play in a X1. If so, they are part of the official styles distributed by Ketron (check Ketron site).
