Yes, I agree it seems too good to be true, but with CraigsList being local, you can try before you buy.

However spammers sometimes low ball items to obtain your email address for future spam. Therefore, since he did not include a phone number, you may be at risk.

Whenever I encounter something like this I use a temporary email address and let them know, I'll only correspond by phone.
