Ella is the best there ever was, or ever will be. Caren Carpenter is my all time second fav! Everyone else falls somewhere after them.

When I met Ella, she had just divorced Ray Brown. They were still good friends. They taught me "What Are You Doing the Rest of your Life?". She was a mild soul who, unfortunately was taken advantage of in the music business many, many times.
