Hey Gary, I was just thinking about you and your sailboat. Are you pulling your baby out of the water in preparation for the Hurricane?

I'm also worried for our South Jersey friends (Fran, Donny, UD, etc). Hoping you guys make out ok. Be Safe!!

The boat is staying in the water, and right now it looks like a spider in the middle of a huge web. Latest weather forecast, which is usually very inaccurate, has downgraded the winds to 20 to 30 MPH, 1 to 2 foot tidal surge and about 4 inches of rain. The boat can handle that and a lot more. Two weeks ago my wife and I sailed home in torrential downpours, sheets of lightning and 35 to 45 knot winds. Other than the rain and lightning, it was a piece of cake and a nice ride.

As for hurricane prep, I just got home from a job, stopped by the Liquor Locker, picked up some fixin's for enough Kickapoo Joy Juice to last three days. By that time the storm will be off the coast of Newfoundland. I also have a 6,000-watt generator and enough gas to run it for three days. When we loose electricity, which is frequent in this part of the state, I just fire up the generator, turn on the AC in the family room, and watch TV.

I believe the guys in central New Jersey and Long Island will get slammed, though--at least that's what the weather doodles are saying on TV.

Just another fun day in Paradise,

Gary cool

I was wondering about you and your boat, too, Gary and all the rest of our friends on the east coast. I hope it continues to downgrade. Send some of that rain our way, we have our worst drought and heat wave in recorded history! Meantime, I'll have a kickapoo joy juice! (My honky tonk bartenders look at me, like... a WHAAAAAT?

Nedim,

You have me beat on this one, what's it all about. There's no Hurricane going to blow over the MS, there more gear in there than the Kronos and the Audya put together.
