Ok so ive got a pretty decent set up as it goes for live, i have the carvin kb1000 (Best sounding keyboard head ive ever heard) going to an avatar 4 ten and a avatar 2 12, heres my problem, when everyone plays i get all sorts of masking with frequencies, some come through others dont some are super annoying others are really hard to hear. so i was wondering what kind of live setups you guys have. do you use seperate eq's? would a compressor help with making my live sound more stable? any help would be great.

I think you are missing a full range set up..

I always look for 4 componets[ideally]..

First a 12" or 15" woofer, a wide dispersion horn, and a tweeter[bi-amp is optional].
I also find a subwoofer needed for the fullest[dance music]..

Also to answer your question...maybe a 15 band[at least 9]stereo eq can help you que in the frequencies you feel lacking..

I would not go to compression to solve your problem..

actually 2 12's sound way better and have a tighter low end then a 15, ive tried it out, its a tad to muddy for me. but then again im doing more lead sounding synths rather then boomy dance sounding stuff.
