-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hi everyone, I was wondering whether the company would release arabic sounds and styles same as the ones on vega for SD1. I don't think there should be any reason not to do that. they just have to change the format. any ideas to when or whether this might happen?!!!!!!

AJ: You're without a doubt, a PRINCE to us. Many thanks for providing the Vega's oriental sound & style listing. This is very useful information for everyone here because I believe there is no listing of this anywhere else on the internet. MANY thanks. - Scott
I don't understand why KETRON doesn't give the possibility to use this oriental sounds and rythm on the SD1. Since 2 Year i ask for it but ... nothing. I'm sure, if ketron wants, they use same samples and do them in 2 hour! And if they don't want to do that, I go to my dealer and I transfer from the VEGA HD to my notebook the sounds and rythms... And I test them in the SD-1. (this is possible??) Actualy, I have a lot of cd format AKAI (voice of istanbul, meditranneen...) I try to use the oud sample from the CD. (23 samples for 1 sound, 5 Mo, 3 minute to load!!!) its difficult to do that, but it's possible... I have the SD-1 OS 3.0a but it say "FILE CORRUPTED" when I try to read a mono 16bit/44khz wav sample. Only Cakewalk Sonar can make .Wav readable for the SD-1. Why???

ketron aj, you do realize that vega is very different than sd-1, in that vega does not do sampling and sampling is very essential to iranian keyboard players. almost everyone that i know uses some sort of sampling in their drum loops, yet... I don't think they need to develop new sounds for sd1 for oriental music they just have to make the files readable.
If I have the Sd1 I can sample all the oriental sounds from Vega and have them with the styles ported to SD1 but then This means that I will need to have one and I don't.
