I've just return from my vacation in Antalya(Turkey, Mediterranean sea) and was really surprised: 3 different men (the master of the hotel, chief-cook from another and general manager from third) told me that one-man-band (the arranger of course), make not less 100 bucks per night (the plus from audience not included).
The matter is: have you guys some experience or not?

Of course we do Ian...but the Balkans and Turkey work a little different then the West,
the tip we call it Bakshish...but there is another catch to it...99% of us (Turkish)
would go and play for even free...the tip for a night is usually well over 1500$.
Thats the difference...and thats in 99.9% of cases/gigs. A band usually gets around
3000-4000$ per night contract...plus...5-6000$ tips.
