Sound for sound the DGX500 sounds better .
Style for style the DGX500 sounds better.
88 keys vs.76 keys ....that's a plus for the dgx500.

I consider myself somewhat an avid keyboardist or at least player wise.

It was about two years ago I decided after someones advice to give a Casio a try these days. Well I did. at first it was somewhat pallettable but then I went to the upper and lower ranges of patches. Stunk like baby poop to me, really poopy even. I gave it about another 5 minutes and then quite frankly I couldn't stand it anymore. Imagine ordering some Orange Juice somewhere and the waiter or waitress brings you this glass with orange stuff and you go to drink it and it tastes orange....well sort of. it's not bad, but not good either. Then you notice a corn syrup taste and realize what you might have thought was not bad really is bad and the more you sip it the worse it gets untill youre ready to barf. Hey, "What is this shit", you ask. "It's Sunny Delight" They say. "Delight?" yeah maybe after I ate some rabbit's pellet droppings. To me, the Casio is all corn syrup sounding with 0% juice product. A facade of sounds.
