Hi everybody,
some midi files sounds not good in my Tyros because there are too many low frequencies in them. Does anybody knows the simple way to avoid this problem? I mean to remaster the midi file and not touching EQ settings inside Tyros.

My MIDI Revoicer software at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/revmidi/index.htm is able to octave shift (up or down) individual instruments in MIDI File.
Perhaps not what you want; but I know not other "Quick Fix" to the problem.

Jørgen, thanks for your help, you've got the great site I used for many years; by the way it's not a problem to shift down any track inside the Tyros and save it.
The question is why recorded drums in some midi files sounds like "meat" but in others like "[potty mouth]".
I will try to study this matter by analyzing 2 different midi files deeply and then post here the result.

Hi Ian, the only way you can fix that without touching EQ is to reEdit the MIDI File
again in an Editor or on Tyros and work with the Filter Cutoff/Resonance of the Sounds you
need to. It will probably discolor the Sounds very little but it should work perfect.
That Info has to be Automated and Written in the MIDI File itself and then anywhere
you play it the Filter Cutoff will always read that Information.

You can not "octave shift" a drum track in a MIDI file. This makes no sense. Of course.

I am afraid the only way is what Nedim describes.
