Hi,
I recently watched a program on UK TV called "The Story of Pan Am" and the opening titles were accompanied by a short quote from a Swing Number. It sounds familiar and somewhere in the back of my old brain, the title is lurking but I'm darned if I can remember it's name.........

I've attached the short clip and wonder if anyone recognises the tune ???

I don't hear enough to make a intelligent guess but I do know that it is a theme from a TV series back in the late 50's or early 60's possiblt 77 sunset strip or Route 66.

and I see that the new Carling advert is using 'Wondrous Place' originally recorded by Billy Fury and sung this time round by Alice Gold - great number...

That's the One!!! smile Thanks a bunch guys - particularly to Roger B for the link..........
It's been driving me mad trying to figure it out!

Because the program was related to PAN AM, I kept thinking the tune title was related to air travel, aircraft, flying etc.

It's another great Nelson Riddle number - that guy was responsible for so very many great songs.

Rog - I understand that you have a new show on 105.5 - do tell.....

Hi Bill - What I'm trying to do is organise my team of girl singers to produce a weekly show called 'Cover Stories' - but it's a bit like trying to hold warm jelly between your fingers...they're all Mums you see and I'm beginning to think I need to organise a creche...!!!
