I thought I'd open a new thread on this - didn't want it to jar with the Happy Thanksgiving one.

But being as Thanksgiving coincides with all the blowout sales, is anyone hearing of huge price reductions in items of interest to us folks?

Hi 124,

I took advantage of my first Black Friday deal today:
Save 20% Store Wide At Yamaha MusicSoft

I Purchased 4 Yamaha Premimum voice packs and saved myself $78.00 smile

Hi Scott,

Cool deal. I'm not in the market for anything particular right now, but I thought I'd just throw it out there to see if anything that took my fancy came up. Ya just never know.

Scott,
Curious Question ... are the midi files on the store site available in General midi format or only compatible with Yamaha instruments? I couldn't find that info on the site. Thanks.
Ciao,
Jerry

Hi Jerry. Not sure, but because it's a specifically Yamaha site my guess is MusicSoft's midi files are all Yamaha XG format only. The midi file Yamaha MusicSoft emailed me today (as a free bonus gift) was in XG format.

btw: just made another Black Friday purchase at Amazon.com.
It's an ultra tiny nub sized 16 GB SanDisk Cruzer-Fit USB Flash drive ($24.42 with free shipping from Amazon.Com) which I plan to plug into the rear USB port of my Tyros 4, and because it's 'so tiny' it will sit almost flush and undetectable with little or no protrusion so should be able to keep it plugged into the kb even during transport. I'll let you know how it works out. - Scott smile

I got one of those tiny SanDisk flash drives last Monday at Best Buy. Works great with the S910. I leave it plugged in, since you can hardly see it.

Amazing... 16G of external memory for less than $25...as time moves on, technology prices go down.

However if you are in the market for a hard drive, prices have sky rocketed because of flooding in Thailand
Mother Nature has her 'say' in prices
