Nice job all around, one of my favorite songs to perform on stage...Thanx for sharing your work with us....may I ask why you use a Harmony M unit?...doesn't the PA2x have a Tc Helicon VH unit inside?....

I was just gonna ask the same question.PA2x much better harmonizer than harmony M.

I recorded this with the Harmony M because I normally perform with a mate, keyboard and guitar and in order to both sing using harmony it works better to use two harmonisers, two voices singing at once tend to confuse the harmoniser. He uses the Pa2x unit. I use the harmony M. The harmony M is also much more versatile live because of the presets, you can change the types of harmony and effects etc quickly whereas the Pa2x you mave to scroll through choices. I am also considering a microarranger so we will have to use one harmoniser initially.

We are trying some different set ups at the monent because of the pending new keyboard, I will let you know how we get on.

Colin, the song sounds very good, indeed, and the recording is clear and nicely mixed.

Just a little question.

Are you using some sort of a subtle chorus effect (or doubler) on your main vocal?

It sounds a little "flangy" or "chorusy" to my ears, and I just wanted to know what effect (if any) was being used.

I don't want to incure the wrath of an old Mancunian but yes a microarranger, it's down to the old weight issues, I,m 70 next month my oppo is 73 and as far as I can see lots of the onboard styles are the same as the Pa series. I don't think our clients (mostly old folk, 50% are deaf and the other half are asleep ) will tell the difference, the vocals are the most importatnt as far as we are concerned. I have owned a Korg i30, Pa800, Pa2x and had considered a Pa3x but keeping the pa2x and using a Micro for gigs seems a more pratical proposition.

Hi Ian

For the good times was recorded using a Harmony M preset, verses use the doubling effect and the chorus a third up and a third down.

I have only used the M for a few weeks and find for live use the physical controls for volume, humanisation, effects and harmony make the unit very easy to use. I considered the voicelive touch but the M appeared on eBay for £142.00 so I decided to try it. I am quite pleased up to now.
