Joe Maphis is the reason I got into double necks....I LOVE them.

For years , I played a double Moserite and a Moserite bass. I have a photo of mt in a puffy sleeved shirt playing one painted in a weird, "hippy" pattern....early 70's.

Also liked the Collins kids. Joe was their mentor. They are still out there on the road....brother and sister.

The Ventures played the same brand for years.

Necks were pretty unstable. got rid of mine years ago...BAD IDEA. If they're playable, they're worth quite a bit.

Now, I have double neck Ovations, Gretsches, Carvins, Robins
and a weird double electric mandolin.

Ah, the memories!

Thanks, Bill. You 'hit it out of the park', again.

Russ

Haha, YEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That video is a hoot. Did you see those little kids dressed in their over-the-top cowboy duds?

Wish you still had that geetar, Cap'n!

If this video were 2012, DNJ could have handed Joe a 9 lb. Korg Micro (which I'm sure weighs far less than that double-neck geetar) and he could've added that to the mix.
