Some of my son's friends were goofing off near my SD1 yesterday. When I turned it on this morning there was some bad distortion coming out of both outputs. I tried swithing midi cables and amplifiers and nothing helped.

There is no distortion when using the headphone jack. Could a grounding wire have come loose? If that's the problem, is there any way I can get it fixed short of sending it back to Ketron? (I have no handyman skills).

Thanks for your suggestions!

Bob

Hi.

Just a few shot in the blind, but....
Have you tried to move the main volume slider up and down several times?
I've heard about a similiar issue, and that at the end the volume slider
had to be replaced.

Also check if the noice are there when no cables connected to/from any
of your other equipment, just to be sure it's not a cable poblem or it's
any of the connectors damaged by cables being stretced or something.

Good Luck and Happy Plaiyng

Thank you GJ. I'll try both of your suggestions.
