Why would we want a $800 keyboard that doesn't sound as good as a $400 Korg or Casio.. grin

You could also buy a $999 BK-5 and have something that sounds way better than a big, old, heavy and expensive (in it's day) G-70? grin

Just sayin'... wink

I would say the Psr650 is one of the best sounding bang for the buck arrangers on the market.

Demos – Demos – Demos, they can be very misleading. Pick a great player and the right song and just about any keyboard will sound like a winner.

How often does someone buy a keyboard because of a good solid demo, the takes it home and wonders what happened?

I was playing keyboard for 10 years when I bought a Wesi Organ; at the organ show they were the best – when I got it home I was shocked. It was my first lesson in; It is 80% the player and the rest is the keyboard.

Maybe ..one should compare it to a Casio CTK 7000 for features and specs...at half the price...that may be the bang for the buck winner of these two keyboards....

I think both the instruments mentioned are a terrific bang for the buck, but, quite frankly, I wouldn't buy either of them.

In today's economy the psr650 will appeal to many players pro & amateur alike.

I think one of the best combinations for pros on a budget would be the new microArranger and a lightweight controller, like a Yamaha NP-31.

Very lightweight (both) and even a 76 note keyboard for those who want more room.
