I fail to see why you would organize things this way. With the Korg ( any Korg) you can also vacate any factory style position. There definitely will be many styles or even complete banks within the factory styles that you do not use. So you can effectively extend your User Style Banks to a number much larger than three by (temporarily ) converting fixed factory banks to user banks. In this way you can gear up a set up for the kind of gig you are performing at by simply loading all relevant data in one go. ....................

hi John. Good point. I plan to eventually do just that.
Right now though, having only had the KMA for 2-3 weeks,
I've still not had sufficient time to thoroughly explore the factory styles yet.
I'm also still at the stage of auditioning & trying out my collection (100's?) of external styles (both Korg & converted 3rd party ones)
to determine which ones most useful to me personally.
These are all now stored in my SD Card in USER Bank file sets.
Once I figure out which ones are most essential to me, I'll then copy & overwrite those into the available factory style slots.

Question: I realize KMA 'factory styles' can be restored at any time from the backup files on the KMA backup CD.
Is it possible to simply restore a 'single' factory style, or must an 'entire' style bank be restored ?

Nice to talk to you and Tony (God bless his little cotton socks) in person. In case you havn't read your IM the files your sent will not load into the Micro. I have checked them using the Style to midi program and they contain three fills. Its my guess they were created on a PA500/800/1x or 2x and are not backward compatable.

I also managed to load individual files from any SET into the micro (KMA) quite easily so if you wish to do this rest assured it can be done.

Yep, this is exactly what I had suspected as well.
Though I too was able to load the styles into the USER BANK and with the style name appearing, when I actually tried to play them, I received a FAIL error.

Answer:
Yes it is possible. How ?
If you save your current 17 factory style banks ( switch of "factory style protect ") and save each bank one after the other in a new ALL.set which you can give any name you like, you can afterwards recall this ALL.set, delve into it and reload either a bank ( to whichever bank postion that you like) or reload a SINGLE STYLE, to whichever position that you desire, be it in the factory banks or in the users.
