Anyone familiar with a possible 'hacker virus' (don't know what else to call it) associated with ccsm solutions? My wife got an e-mail with a link to that ccsm web site ... the individual whose address it came from did not send it ... I went to 'google' ccsm and saw a number of web sites related to those letters, but when I tried to access the web site it was blocked by my AVG Free ... FORTUNATELY ...

Tony,

Most people will advise you, if you don't know who sent you the email how did they get your address, don't don't don't ever open anything that's come from someone you don't know, if you do you are asking for it. Now if I was to email you with an offer of a very cheap Audya you would know where it's come from, now if you would just delete it, that's another thing, but you would have every right so to do... cry on this occasion you would be missing a treat, Tony don't open mail like this even for a peek, you won't have won the lottery believe me... eek2

Tony

Another one to watch out for right now is "linkedin", which is the social network for business professionals. Based on some bogus emails I got a couple of weeks ago, it looks like hackers had hijacked several of their members email addresses. What Tony H said applies here as well. If you get something from a linkedin member, and you don't know them, send it right to the trash. Don't even open it.

Regards,

Ted

Thnx, guys ... we don't open e-mails from people we don't know ... the problem comes in when the e-mail is from someone you know - however, THEY do not know that THEIR computer has been hacked by a virus, and that the e-mail went out under their name ...
