Scott, the Guitar Center in my area, South Florida has been growing for the last three years. They redid the entire store recently, it’s beautiful.

Their sales staff has been upgraded and they are extremely helpful. The money crunch came and these guys at Guitar Center have made an about face.

I purchased my Bose compact using a coupon; $999.99 became $850 plus tax.

With Amazon.com out there, Guitar Center is becoming the little guy!

Lots of people, especially guitar players badmouth GC but if you are careful, deals can be had. I have bought two pretty expensive guitars from them. But only because I got a really good deal.

I allways try to support my local shops..

If price difference is less then 10% compared to internet i allways buy local.

If pricedifference is between 10% and 20% it depends on how much support i expect to be needing.


Just my 2 thumrules... They work pretty well for me.
