I am convinced that this is a scam. If so, it is the most sophisticated I've ever seen.
Last week, I found a vintage guitar on Craigslist that seemed too low-priced. I decided to check into it but be careful. First red flag, seller would not agree to speak with me. "I'm out of town due to my sister being in a wreck and she has brain damage and I must take care of her." Yeah, right. I went ahead and acted interested, struck an even lower deal on the guitar. Seller says she is using an escrow type service called
www.tiltyard-sales.com.Second red flag was even though it was promoted as you can pay by paypal, credit card or check, for this particular sale (yeah, right), I was to wire money to a European bank.
I was already out, but third red flag was that the domain name for that website was just registered two weeks ago! Even though the seller claimed she had used them four times in the past. Must have been busy lately.
You wouldn't believe how crafty these people are. They have posted hundreds of posts around the internet making up questions about themselves and then answering them in a positive manner.
Beware of that website. Or if it's legit, I lost out on a helluva buy!
