Hi Nedim
Don’t confuse Open Source with Open Architecture.
Open Source
Means the user has access to the code of the OS/Program and so can modify it to suit their needs.
Open Architecture (In its basic form)
Means you can use other manufactures software within the instrument itself.
Mediastation
Uses the Linux OS which means you have access to the OS source code, thus allowing you in depth modification (However please remember that many VST instruments and 3rd party software that you can use on the Mediastaion are not Open Source, and so can only be updated by the manufacture)
Wersi
Uses open Architecture and rums on a Windows Platform, this means that most music software that can be run on a PC, can be run on the Wersi
Audya
Is a closed system, in that all software has to come from the manufacture to work?
General
Most sounds and styles con be converted from one manufacture to another, however with closed hardware systems, it becomes much more difficult to do (Although if you search the web you will be surprised at what can be converted)
Hope this clears up the confusion.
Regards
Bill
